Our Story

Rock of Ages Rescue Centre begun in 2019 in the month of July after an idea from the Founding Director Pastor Dorcas Karimi of Wings of Life Miracle Church in aim of supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in the communities around and within Marurui area of Nairobi County. The Centre is located in Roysambu Constituency  She shared her idea with likeminded individuals who believed that the idea can be developed into a great vision and many children would be rescued from the verge of falling into either crime or harassment. The vision grew from an idea to an organization whereby a Community Based Organization (C.B.O) was registered to cater for rescue and housing of such children prone to marginalization, rejection and despised by the communities around.  Since inception, the centre is housing a total of sixteen children, supporting their education, providing basic needs and empowering their positive thinking about life. However, the centre was born during the hardest time in Kenya and world at large because it was during the time of COVID 19. This challenge has left us struggling for sustenance. This service to the needy and vulnerable was dedicated to God and fashioned to be a great service to God through the service to communities. It is a vow made before God, the creator of all creations and humanity by you and we.  The Centre has cared for abandoned and homeless street children and orphans. These children used to be assisted by the church giving them food but they still remained in the streets. The support given did not solve the plight because these children had nowhere to stay.  The Centre is planning to build a Primary School, Secondary School and a Technical Institute where more children and youths can study comfortably. A number of children that have benefited are more than 40 of them. More children benefit when we have events like feeding programs and free medical camps
